Postdoctoral position is available in the lab of Daniel Greif (https://dangreiflab.com ; GreifLab) in the Cardiovascular Research Center and Departments of Medicine and Genetics at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT, USA ( YaleCVRC; @YaleGenetics). Our lab focuses on vascular development, maintenance and disease as well as fibroblasts in lung development and fibrotic disease. We apply basic developmental biology, genetic/genomic, biochemical and single cell approaches to uncover key insights into the morphogenesis and pathogenesis of the blood vessel wall during development and diseases. We currently have projects focusing on the following areas: i) pulmonary vasculature and pulmonary hypertension; ii) atherosclerosis; iii) aorta and elastin arteriopathy; iv) cerebral vasculature and intracranial hemorrhage; and v) lung fibroblasts in development and fibrotic disease.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in genetics/genomics, gene regulation, molecular biology, microscopy, computational biology and single cell approaches. A strong interest in vascular and/or lung biology is required. Candidates must be receiving a PhD, MD or MD/PhD degree prior to starting the postdoc (or have recently earned such a degree) and be fluent in English and highly enthused to pursue top-notch scientific investigation.
