Job Description

The Education Program Specialist will support the development of an English volunteer tutor program with integrated digital skills to promote the digital inclusion of refugees into the workforce. This position will also work with our Education Coordinator to develop educational programming specific to the ongoing and unique needs of the new American population as they continue on their integration journey (immigration, housing, driving in the US, navigating the US school system, etc.)

Qualifications

Duties (Year 1):

• Map out stages of a clients' resettlement/asylum journey to identify areas or timelines for when clients may face a need specific information.

•Create curriculum for workshops. •Review current procedures and resources for English tutor program.

• Convene focus group of current English tutors.
• Develop curriculum, tools and systems to solidify program and meet tutor, staff and client needs
• Create a client responsive M & E plan

Duties (Year 2):

• Evaluate education programing developed in Year 1.
• Create training of trainers and program resources for the integration of digital skills into English tutoring program.
• Generate development plan to ensure program sustainability.
• Develop capacity of staff to implement client responsive M & E plan developed in year 1.

Duties (Year 3):

• Conduct client, staff and other key staff interviews to evaluate progress and success of Education programs developed.
• Modify curriculum, procedures or tools as needed.
• Develop trainings and other programmatic materials needed as leave behinds for program continuation.
