Description

We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in theoretical quantum physics within the group of Prof. Shao-Kai Jian at Tulane University that can be renewed for an additional year after the annual review, up to three years. The successful candidate is expected to work in quantum many-body physics, non-equilibrium physics, or quantum information theory. In particular, current research interests of the group include quantum entanglement, quantum chaos, open quantum systems, emergent phenomena in quantum systems etc. Candidates should have rich research experience and a strong publication record in theoretical quantum physics with an emphasis on quantum chaos, critical phenomena, or quantum dynamics.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. before the start date with a background in theoretical condensed matter physics, theoretical high energy physics, quantum information science, or a closely related field.
