The Stanford Headache and Facial Pain Program, in the Department of Neurology & Neurological Sciences, is seeking a part-time Neuroimaging Research Assistant to help in the analysis and management of neuroimaging and behavioral questionnaire data for our projects on chronic headache disorders.
The Stanford Headache and Facial Pain research team has current projects focused on the basic mechanisms and biomarkers underlying headache chronification using multimodal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and deep phenotyping approaches. Specifically, our focus is to develop models of how chronic headache develops by integrating MRI data with behavioral, genetic, and clinical measures.
The Neuroimaging Post-Doctoral Fellow will work with the team under the guidance of supervisors to organize and maintain a database of MRI scans and aid in the preprocessing and analysis of neuroimaging data. The candidate will work in closely with the study scientists to implement and execute image-analysis pipelines for structural and functional MRI data. This position would be ideal for a highly motivated applicant interested in working on projects spanning Neurology, Neuroscience, Neuroimaging, and Psychology, looking to gain in-depth research experience for medical or graduate school training. Specific Responsibilities:
Technical:
• Data transfer to encrypted storage spaces
• Executing MRI analysis pipelines
• Quality control of neuroimaging data
Administration:
• Maintains detailed records of data which may include collecting, extracting and entering data, renaming files according to study nomenclature, and/or preparing basic charts and graphs
• Perform quantitative review of forms, tests, and other measurements for completeness and accuracy
• Performs other duties as assigned
