A post-doctoral position is available in Dr. Tawna Roberts’ Vision Development and Oculomotor laboratory. As a National Eye Institute and Department of Defense funded laboratory, we are looking for an enthusiastic and recent PhD graduate or graduate student who is finishing their degree in visual neuroscience, cognitive science, psychology, or a related field to conduct studies related to vision development and visual attention using EEG. The successful candidate will have a strong background in EEG, quantitative skills, programming expertise, and have interest in human vision development, and visual attention and is able to successfully carry out projects with infants, children, and adults.
Dr. Roberts is a pediatric optometrist and clinician-scientist at Stanford’s Byers Eye Institute. She is a member of Stanford’s Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute, Maternal and Child Health Research Institute, and BioX, an interdisciplinary institute that encompasses three Stanford schools: Medicine, Chemistry, and Engineering. Dr. Roberts is the co-director of the Stanford Human Ocular Motor Lab, member of the Stanford Brain Performance Center, and directs an independent research program in normal and abnormal vision development and binocular vision as well as concussion-related vision disorders.
