We are looking for talented and motivated Postdoctoral Scientists to join the 3rd Messenger Laboratory of Drs. Richard Anderson and Vincent Cryns at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health to focus on cell signaling and cancer. Successful applicants will take a lead role in projects focusing on phosphoinositide regulation of proteins such as p53 (“3rd messenger signaling”) and a novel nuclear PI3K-Akt pathway we recently discovered. We use a vast array of approaches to investigate fundamental biological processes ranging from agonist signaling, signaling within the nucleus, apoptosis and the DNA damage response, as well as translational target validation and drug discovery for cancer and other diseases. These positions are fully funded by the NIH, DOD and other agencies.

The candidate should have a strong background in biochemistry, cell and molecular biology. Additional expertise in bioinformatics and proteomics is desirable.
