Position Summary
The Department of Microbiology and Immunology is hiring a scientist track faculty member with competency in teaching, training, and research of bacterial sexually transmitted infections. The assistant research professor will be experienced in sexually transmitted infection research in the context of host-bacterial interactions using multi-omics approaches and continue to develop research with this focus, obtaining grant funding, publishing findings in peer reviewed journals and presenting findings at professional medical conferences. The assistant research professor will be responsible for mentoring graduate and undergraduate students in laboratory techniques.

Basic Qualifications
Doctorate or terminal degree and 3 years postdoctoral work experience is required.
