The Research Development Coordinator supports faculty, graduate students and administrators in the School of Humanities (SOH) in developing high-impact and quality proposals for submission to federal agencies and charitable foundations. Under general supervision of the Humanities Center executive director, the Research Development Coordinator will research funding opportunities, support graduate students and postdoctoral researchers with fellowship and grant applications, and help with special research development projects as needed. The Research Development Coordinator will manage the internal Humanities Center grant program for SOH faculty and graduate students.
 
Compensation Range:
 
$25.62 - $37.64

Required:
 
Two years’ experience researching funding opportunities and writing grant and fellowship proposals, and/or equivalent experience.
Advanced degree in a humanities discipline, such as history, literature, languages, ethnic studies, philosophy, visual studies or related area.
Writing skills to draft persuasive text for variety of audiences. Ability to maintain independent judgment; strong organization; communication skills; and a customer service focus. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with faculty, staff, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers. Demonstrated ability to consistently display accuracy and attention to detail, with a commitment to producing top quality work products. Demonstrated experience in database and information searching. Knowledge of and experience working in a humanities academic research environment. Knowledge of grant funding processes, procedures and techniques.
 
Preferred:
 
PhD
Knowledge of applicable federal, state, local, sponsor and institutional regulations, policies, and guidelines.
