Description

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in the Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Oklahoma (OU) is seeking applications from candidates for three open-rank (tenure-track/tenured) faculty positions starting August 2023. Applicants who can establish, or have established, a strong research and instructional program in any area of synthetic chemistry are encouraged to apply. Research areas include (but are not restricted to) synthetic inorganic, organic, and biochemistry and bio-, inorganic, organic, and nano- materials synthesis.

Applicants at disciplinary interfaces with energy, catalysis, environmental, or medicinal research in alignment with OU’s strategic research plan (www.ou.edu/research-norman ) are particularly encouraged. Instructional contributions are one course per semester at the graduate or undergraduate level in an appropriate subject area.


Qualifications

Candidates must have a PhD (or equivalent) degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Materials Science or other appropriate field, and preferably postdoctoral research experience for Assistant Professor applicants.

Review of applications will start by December 9, 2022 and will continue until the positions are filled. There will be a preliminary remote screening process to ascertain candidates for further interviews.
