Multicultural Postdoctoral Fellow Research

Job Description


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Ability to perform research at the intersection of Geology, Analytical Chemistry and Environmental Sciences.
  • Evidence of a potential for successful research activities.
  • Sufficient relevant experience to contribute significantly to a specific project.
  • Experience in the use of computers and other appropriate equipment to conduct the research proposed.
  • Scientifically independent, be highly motivated, and have excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Typical Experience:
Instruction of Inorganic Chemistry, which will integrate with research in the field of geological and environmental chemistry. Experience in critical minerals, working in a chemical analytical facility and a strong background in data science.

Research experience specific to Alaska or the Arctic is preferred.


Required Education or Training:

Ph.D. degree (already received, or having completed all requirements and awaiting graduation) with emphasis on relevant science field.

Experience in critical minerals, working in a chemical analytical facility, and a strong background in data science.


Salary Information:

This is a full-time, term-funded, 9 month assignment with a 3 month contract extension (12 month), exempt position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package .
