Lyman T Johnson Postdoctoral Fellowship
Job Description
University of Kentucky (UK) awards postdoctoral fellowships for up to 2 years for scholars who will research and contribute to diversity at UK. The initial appointment is for 12 months, but recipients may apply for a second year. Fellows will be mentored by UK professors and will develop research programs for the department they will work in. Fellows will be at UK, located in Lexington, Kentucky.
Eligibility & Requirements
Must have completed the doctoral degree before the date of appointment or have completed the doctoral degree within the past 2 years. Applicant must be eligible to compete for federally-funded postdoctoral grants. Letter of application: applicants should address how participation in this program would contribute to the compelling interest of diversity at the University of Kentucky (UK) and in their profession in their letter of application. Applicant's CV. Mentor's CV. Sample publications. Research proposal. 3 letters of recommendation. A letter from the potential UK mentor outlining the general research program. A letter from the potential UK departmental chair indicating endorsement and appropriate departmental resources such as space and computer support.
