Prepare and teach 15-credit hours of world language (Spanish emphasized) courses per semester (courses may be online or face-to-face on any of CCBC’s campuses). Remain current in the discipline, collaborate closely with discipline coordinators and colleagues, implement innovative instructional technology techniques, and participate in developing and evaluating courses that include thematic,  content-based curricula. Collaborate e?ectively with colleagues across disciplines, college support sta?, student groups, and community organizations. Participate in college committees and projects, and seek continuous professional development in teaching methodologies and practices.

Master's degree in a world language or a related field, such as Applied Linguistics or Education. The ability to teach two of CCBC’s offered languages, including Spanish. Other languages offered are Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Russian. 

Strong written communication skills  and the ability to communicate effectively in a diverse workplace. Experience with instructional design and classroom technology that supports language learning. Strong evidence of effective, creative, and communicative student-centered approaches to instruction that integrate cultural and sociopolitical aspects of language learning.

Two (2) years teaching experience at high school level or above required, community college teaching experience preferred.
