The Special Projects Assistant is a multi-faceted position within the main office of the EduCare Foundation. The Special Projects Assistant is the agency liaison for EduCare with other agencies, involved in the planning, implementation, and structure of joint goals and events for high school students. Applicants must demonstrate a history in the field of education, and be tech-savvy. Applicants should also have the ability to present to large groups, maintain accurate administrative records, and have some event planning history, preferably for high school students.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Education: Minimum 2 years of college or equivalent experience as Administrative Asst.
Location: Located in San Fernando, but will require travel to Los Angeles.
Language: Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Hours: Part-time -20- 25 hours weekly. Monday-Friday, occasional weekends.
Job Requirements:
· This job will focus on supporting and tracking the completion of all High School after-school campaign activities and at times other Special Project related activities.
· Primary assistant of special projects for an after-school program.
· Assist with coordination of 48 high school special events ( Track paperwork submission, review paperwork submit to the district)
· Work with high school after-school coordinators and school liaisons.
· Maintain a highly effective project management system to suit the varying needs of each project.
· Create and distribute a monthly status report for special projects.
· Ability to work on some Saturdays to manage/participate in events.
· Participate in curriculum development for project content and logistics.
· Management and processing of various administrative duties as required.
· Closely interact with all members of Main Office Staff (President, VP, HR, Finance, After School Programming), as well as EduCare staff who work at school sites, to create agendas/schedules for program content.
Skills
· Excellent Project Management and administrative skills (Tracking & follow-through with deadlines, timely response, prioritizing, pre-planning, info/document handling).
· Flexibility in time management and project management prioritizing.
· Excellent communication, both oral and written.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday

Experience:
- Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Preferred)
