The successful candidate will teach courses in the MAE department with a design and/or manufacturing focus that may include Mechanical Design, Multi-disciplinary Design, and Manufacturing Processes. Additionally, the successful candidate is expected to engage and lead students in externally sponsored research and collaborate within the department, across the university, and externally.

The MAE Department offers a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering. Within the Bachelor’s degree, concentrations are available in aerospace and energy systems. Additionally, minors are available in biomechanics and robotic systems. The Department also offers Master of Science and Doctorate degrees. The Department currently has 800 undergraduate students, 200 graduate students, 24 full-time faculty members, and a number of adjunct faculty.   • Postdoctoral research
  • Mentoring undergraduate student research
• Articulated commitment to breadth of education, including educating the whole person in the Catholic and Marianist tradition.
• Effective oral communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide. With this development, the University will pause any enforcement action against employees who have not complied with the requirement to be fully vaccinated by Dec. 8, 2021 or to have requested an exemption to maintain their employment status.
