Marketing and Communications Associate– The position serves as an in-house “agency” for members of the collaborative, providing thought-leadership, strategy and execution to best tell the stories of our organizations and the communities they serve.

What We’re Looking For: This associate provides excellent internal client service to Hamilton County Community Foundation and IMPACT Central Indiana and serves as a point of contact and project manager for both partners. A generalist, this associate is skilled in the use of communications and marketing tools and tactics, including but not limited to media relations, communications, writing /editing, advertising, marketing and social media.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, marketing or advertising or equivalent experience.

o Minimum one year experience in journalism, communications, marketing, PR or advertising.

o Familiarity with Associated Press style a plus.

  • Strong project management skills, including time management, organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interact diplomatically with all levels of the organization, community and outside vendors;

o excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong computer skills, including Mac capabilities and working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Adobe design suite.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce a bonus.
  • Fully vaccinated against coronavirus, per CDC guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Creatively and innovatively help tell stories that demonstrate the work of the foundation and its impact for Hamilton County community
  • Help develop strategies and timelines to reach communications and marketing goals
  • Serve as project manager, including project intake; deadlines; approvals; and developing and collecting content.
  • Report regularly to the CICF communications and marketing team on goals, project updates and significant achievements or obstacles.
  • Serve as communications and marketing professional for IMPACT Central Indiana.
