Cottonwood Community Alternatives, Inc. is a private, non-profit agency established in 1991 to provide residential and day program services to Colorado citizens with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Cottonwood Community Alternatives, Inc. provides services to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Cottonwood is seeking one Program Director (PD) to join our team. This is one of three PD positions overseen by the COO and CEO of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Programmatic oversight, review, coordination, and management of operations of the assigned programs, personnel, and facilities to ensure compliance with IDD waiver standards, Colorado Rules and Regulations, and statutes, and Cottonwood’s policies, procedures, and practices
• Directly supervises an assigned portion of Program Managers who are responsible for coordination of HCBS residential and day program services
• Ensure the health and safety of individuals in service and provision of high-quality services
• Supervise, develop/train, mentor, evaluate, and retain qualified management and administrative personnel as assigned
• Follow, exemplify, and promote Cottonwood’s company mission and values
• Coordination and submission of monthly paperwork and reports
• Flexible schedule to accommodate various program and staff needs
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in related field with a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience; and/or bachelor’s degree in related field with a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
• Must have an in-depth knowledge of Colorado IDD Rules and Regulations and HCBS waiver programs
• Exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills to identify programmatic needs, generate appropriate solutions, and respond to solving issues calmly, positively, professionally, and with appropriate boundaries
• High level management and supervisory skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Passionate and committed to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Strong organizational skills with ability to oversee multiple activities at one time, prioritize job duties, ability to work well independently, as well as a member of a team
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, auto insurance, and a good driving record (No suspensions and less than 3 tickets in the last 3 years)
