Reporting to the Program Manager of Community, Outreach and Engagement (COE), this position will be responsible for the organization and management of day-to-day functions and will facilitate and coordinate community engagement programs and bidirectional initiatives. This role will also work alongside the COE Team to ensure the needs of the catchment area are being served by the research programs within TCI.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Works with Program Manager and COE team to meet and track project goals and objectives in line with the COE mission and aims
Coordinates and leads assigned project activities ensuring that assignments are completed, adhering to project scope and deadline
Schedules and organizes internal and external COE meetings, including the creation of agendas, preparation of materials, recording minutes, relaying and tracking meeting action items
Facilitates bidirectional partnerships and activities between TCI researchers and community members, including Community Advisory Board and subcommittees
Provides support for coordination of annual COE Retreat and quarterly newsletters
Creates and integrates feedback for internal and external meeting presentations
Leads and assists in manuscript writing, editing and submission for COE activities
Facilitates and assists in the completion of grant applications, providing updated language as needed
Organizes and assists in management of Community Scientist program and completes related tasks within project scope (CS budget, CS compensation, presentations, tracking progress and outcomes, identifying areas of improvement)
Assists with COE’s LHN program as needed
Supports PM and COE team as needed, ensuring quality, timeliness and integrity of ongoing projects
Prioritizes projects and tasks according to PM and COE team goals and initiatives
Maintains detailed records and documentation of project activity and may be responsible for developing uniform procedures for storing and keeping appropriate documentation
Assists with completing reports and other deliverables as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelors’ degree required, or equivalent education and work experience.
- None required, 1 year of experience in project coordination preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects and assignments
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
