Job Description

Position Description: The Department of Mathematics at Columbia University invites applications for a one-year Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the broad area of mathematical foundations for quantitative biology to begin July 1, 2023. Candidates should engage in theoretical mathematical research relevant to the study of complex biological systems. Examples of such areas of research include but are not limited to random matrix theory, probability theory, geometric/ topological data analysis, and geometric machine learning. 
Qualifications: PhD is required at the time of appointment. Candidates must have excellent scholarship and show promise for future development; must demonstrate the potential to develop strong publishing and research records; and must have the potential to do pioneering research in their area of specialization.
