Job Description:
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

This research position under the supervision of Professor Luke Roling will establish computational methods for predicting and directing the growth of semiconductor materials using computational methods. Prior experience in computational modeling of materials and/or reactions at surfaces is desired. Responsibilities include performing molecular simulations to understand energetics of surface reactions and varying materials structures, evaluating optical properties, and developing computational microkinetic models for the simulation of growth. Further responsibilities include data analysis, review of literature, preparation and review of manuscripts and presentations.


Required Minimum Qualifications:

PhD or Doctoral Degree


Preferred Qualifications:

Ph.D. in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science, or other related fields

December 1, 2022


Proposed End Date or Length of Term:
November 30, 2024


Number of Months Employed Per Year:
12 Month Work Period
