A Post-Doctoral position is available to work on theoretical/computational condensed matter led by Dr. Chunjing Jia in the Department of Physics at the University of Florida. Specific topics of focus include, but are not restricted to:

  • Exact diagonalization and tensor-network-based algorithms for dynamical responses of strongly correlated electronic systems.
  • Machine learning for materials engineering and discovery based on crystal graph neural network and neural network quantum state.

The appointment is initially for two years and can be extended to the third year depending on performance. We are looking for applicants with a strong theoretical and/or computational background, and a proven capacity for high-quality research or scientific computing.

Expected Salary:

The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, and includes a full benefits package.

Minimum Requirements:

Ph.D. in Physics

Preferred Qualifications:

Some experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence would be a plus.
