Position Qualification
Position Summary | The Stanley M. Truhlsen Eye Institute and Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE, is seeking to expand its research faculty. We welcome applications from all areas of ophthalmology/vision-science research to complement our existing research areas. We are particularly interested in researchers focusing on ocular genetics, corneal biology, adaptive and physiological optics, bioinformatics, and/or artificial intelligence. The strongest candidates will be those with a demonstrated record of scholarly activity and extramural research funding or potential for extramural funding. Applicants should hold a Ph.D., O.D., M.D., or equivalent degree. Postdoctoral and/or fellowship training is strongly encouraged. Responsibilities will principally involve maintaining an extramurally funded and internationally recognized research program, supervising Ph.D. and M.S. students and postdoctoral trainees, and supporting collaboration within the Department and across the University campus.
