Job Summary
A full time postdoctoral position is available at the Department of Biostatistics, College of Public Health, the University of Kentucky. We are seeking highly motivated researchers with an interest in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and its related dementias (ADRD) to work on managing and analyzing data. The position will be supported by the National Institute on Aging (NIA)-funded program project grant (P01) “the Strategies for Targeting Astrocyte Reactivity in AD and ADRD (STAR-ADRD)”. The start date for the position is flexible with the expecting between November 1st 2022 and January 1st 2023. The initial appointment is for 12 months with the possibility of an extension for up to five years.
The postdoc will be involved in the data management and analysis of large-scale complex trait data including single cell and bulk RNA sequencing data, proteomics data, multiphoton and MRI imaging data, microelectrode array data, IHC/IF and Western blot data, etc. The postdoc will learn to use a large variety of software and to develop data visualization dashboards and biostatistics workflows for analyzing complex data.
