Biological Sciences – Full time faculty appointment
Job Description
The department of Biological Sciences invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position to support our highly successful and robust pre-health care programs.
- Teach the equivalent of a 7-course load, including lecture and laboratory instruction
- Teach Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, or other courses dependent on the candidate’s expertise, for biology and related majors
- Engage in ongoing scholarly and professional development, and develop a research program that involves undergraduate students
- Advise and mentor undergraduate students
- Participate in departmental and university committee service
- Contribute to an academic environment that seeks to increase inclusive excellence in the department and in the discipline
- Commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring undergraduate students, including biology majors and non-majors
- Demonstrated capacity to engage in an ongoing program of professional
- or scholarly development
- Ability to teach biology courses at the introductory and upper-division levels
- Ability to teach a variety of courses commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, including Human Anatomy and Human Physiology
- Understanding of and commitment to Bethel’s efforts to develop as an inclusively excellent university community
Record of successful college teaching preferred. Postdoctoral research or clinical experience preferred. Evidence of ongoing professional or scholarly development preferred.
PhD., MD, or equivalent terminal degree required. Preference will be given to candidates with degrees, scholarly, or clinical work in the fields of anatomy and/or physiology.

Compensation:
Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience
