Job Description SummaryThe program coordinator will provide a broad range of complex and high-level programmatic oversight to the Office of the Vice Provost for Research (OVPR), working with the executive team on a wide range of projects and initiatives. This includes comprehensive planning and coordination for the OVPRâ€™s portfolio of programs, such as ensuring the effective and timely execution of various application deadlines, programs, and events, handling of confidential information with a high degree of professional discretion, and proactively managing the day-to-day activities of the programs and office.
- Coordinate the planning, communication, and execution of internal funding opportunities financially supported through the OVPR. Coordinate communication of limited submission opportunity funding efforts.
- Coordinate the planning, communications, and execution of the Provostâ€™s Postdoctoral Fellowship Program and its activities. Serve as point of contact to the Postdoctoral Fellows and representative of the OVPR.
- Review and maintain OVPR website and application software systems. Assist in the development and dissemination of communications materials such as OVPR newsletter and social media postings.
- Draft correspondence for OVPR email accounts and maintain office mail database.
- Provide back-up for Senior Vice Provostâ€™s executive assistant as needed.
- Assist with staffing OVPR standing committee meetings.
- Support the growth and development of new programming centralized in the OVPR.
- Manage operational needs of the physical office (e.g. ordering office supplies and catering).
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
3-5 years minimum experience, preferably in a higher education institution. Bachelorâ€™s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Understanding and sensitivity to matters of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Ability to discern the need for confidentiality and handle as appropriate. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across multiple teams. Strong organizational and digital file management skills. Demonstrated writing experience, preferably in website, editorial, and social media content. Demonstrated knowledge of content management systems (e.g. Wordpress, SurveyMonkey), Microsoft Office software and social media tools. Willingness and enthusiasm to learn new skills and work in a collaborative, team environment .

$55-70K commensurate with education and experience.
