Assistant-Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct psychological assessments of children, and clinical supervision of psychology trainees, regarding the use of psychological methods and measures to make diagnoses and appropriate recommendations for treatment.

2. Coordinate the Psychological Assessment Service (PAS) by reviewing intakes, assigning cases to individual psychologists or referring to community agencies; monitoring supplies and test materials.

3. Work collaboratively within the Psychology Division, Department of Pediatrics, and University for patient care clinics (including PAS, Interdisciplinary Developmental Evaluation Service, Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD) Autism Spectrum Assessment Clinic (ASAC), Early Steps, Adolescent Medicine, Fragile X, etc.), for clinical services and for trainee instruction/supervision.

4. Conduct clinical research via collaboration on projects with faculty through UM CARD and Mailman Center Interprofessional Collaboratives or other faculty in the Department, School, or University, assisting with the design of projects and data collection, preparation of grant applications and manuscripts. Develop and implement original research projects for which external funding will be sought.

5. Participate in education and training of psychology trainees, medical students, and pediatric residents and fellows in terms of presenting lectures and seminars, online training programs and informally teaching during clinics.

6. Participate in psychology internship selection committee and regular psychology and pediatric faculty meetings.

Qualifications:

APA-approved PhD in clinical psychology and clinical internship; Completion of postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology; Licensure in Florida (or license-eligible).
