| Under the general direction of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), provide departmental support on all finance, personnel, student services, and administrative matters. Responsible for all phases of Purchasing and Accounts Payable orders. Working in cooperation with faculty and the departmental Research Administrators, coordinate travel arrangements and process travel reimbursements for faculty, graduate students, and staff. Serve as departmental parking coordinator. Lead front desk area, including guest reception, mail, and general assistance. Serve as payroll preparer for various employee classes, including staff, academic student employees, postdoctoral scholars, lecturers, and faculty. Manage all facilities and operational requests to completion. Coordinate special events including guest seminars, conferences, and administrative meetings. This entry level position does not require a background or experience in Statistics. All aspects of this position can be trained. The position's various duties will enable candidate to follow multiple career paths at UCLA. | |
