QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates will have earned a master's degree in accounting, business, or related field and will have significant experience in industry; candidates with CPA licensure and teaching experience will be given preference.

Central College seeks a collaborative faculty member to join a student-focused department committed to the integration of career preparation with the development of values essential to responsible citizenship, empowering graduates for effective service in local, national and international communities as described in the college's Mission Statement . Candidates should be strongly committed to undergraduate teaching and have an appreciation for the liberal arts environment.

Responsibilities for this position include teaching 6-7 courses per year in one or more of the following areas: taxation, information systems and controls, financial accounting, managerial accounting, and/or audit, depending on the candidate's professional and educational background.

The Department of Economics, Accounting, and Management at Central College values the liberal arts, while offering majors in accounting, business management, and economics. In collaboration with the mathematics and computer science programs, the department also offers majors in actuarial science and information systems. The department's faculty members interact in an academically stimulating and congenial environment, resulting in achievement of student excellence. More than 96% of graduates within these majors are employed within 6 months of graduation, and 94% of students complete at least one internship before graduation.

Founded in 1853, Central College of Pella, Iowa , is a private, residential four-year liberal arts college known for its academic rigor and strength in global experiential learning, STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), sustainability education, athletics success and tradition, and leadership and service.
