About Us

Centralia College is located on a 30-acre campus in the heart of Centralia, Washington and has been serving students in the Lewis County region since 1925. As a comprehensive community college, Centralia College offers academic transfer and workforce programs, as well as adult basic education, ELL, and personal enrichment classes. The college also offers four Bachelor of Applied Science degrees: Information Technology - Application Development, Diesel Technology, Applied Management (Business), and Teacher Education.

In addition to the main campus in Centralia, Centralia College East in Morton is a smaller site that serves the needs of students in east Lewis County. Since the college is committed to the success of all students, Centralia College also provides educational programs at two corrections centers in southwest Washington - Garrett Heyns Education Center located in Shelton, Washington and Cedar Creek Corrections Center located in Littlerock, Washington. In total, the college serves more than 7,000 students annually. Job Description

Purpose

This position will perform a variety of custodial, housekeeping, and general maintenance of various buildings, offices, rooms and facilities in the Child Development and Early Learning Centers.

Definition

This position will work under general supervision of the custodian supervisor. Positions perform routine housekeeping and custodial duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cleans various buildings, offices, rooms, within Centralia College such as: Child Development Center – Early learning Center
  • Cleans and sanitizes showers, restrooms, toilet facilities; keeps them properly supplied with toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other cleaning items;
  • Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors, walls and woodwork; dusts furniture and equipment; empties and cleans ash trays and wastebaskets; polishes furniture and metal fixtures; washes windows; vacuums rugs, curtains and furniture;
  • Empties wastebaskets, trash, and recycle s;
  • Sets up and takes down equipment and furnishings;
  • Maintains inventory of equipment and products.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Physical ability to do required work.
  • Valid Washington State Driver's license and a minimum age of 18.

COMPENSATION

Monthly Salary: Range 30 ($2,591 - $3,321)
