Auburn University’s Harrison College of Pharmacy (HCOP) is pleased to announce openings for two Postdoctoral Fellows in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences. These are one-year appointments, renewable annually for a total of up to four years. More information about the college can be found at: https://pharmacy.auburn.edu/
This is a full-time (40 hrs/wk), 12-month position located on-site in Auburn, Alabama
- With minimal supervision, contribute to the day-to-day research mission of the assigned research laboratory or laboratories
- Contribute to the production and preparation of technical reports, scholarly papers, grant proposals, protocols, and other documentation relevant to the work of the lab
- Engage in on-going professional development as necessary to establish an independent line of extramurally funded research and/or service
- In conjunction with the Lab Manager, coordinate lab safety, animal welfare, equipment maintenance, and other compliance requirements within the lab
- Supervise junior personnel and coordinate the research activities and training of junior researchers, students, and lab workers to ensure the successful operation of all research functions

Minimum Qualifications
1. Completed Ph.D. from a regionally accredited institution in the fields of pharmaceutical sciences, medicinal chemistry, or pharmacology at the time employment begins.
2. The candidates selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment. (Visa sponsorship will not be provided).
3. Potential to become an independent researcher as documented by academic publications, presentations and posters, participation in funding proposals, etc.
4. Extensive knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements as related to laboratory research
5. Excellent written and interpersonal skills, a demonstrated history of contributing to the enhancement of diversity, equity, and inclusion, a strong focus on teamwork, collaboration, mentoring, and collegiality, and excellent project management skills
Desired Qualifications
Eligibility to be awarded an administrative supplement under the National Institute of Health’s “Research Supplements to Promote Diversity in Health-Related Research” program
