An interdisciplinary group of researchers studying the effect of sleep deficit on human performance seeks to hire a post-doctoral fellow to assist in the statistical analysis and modeling of multi-faceted data.

This grant-funded appointment will be for a period of twelve months beginning January 1, 2023 and will not involve any teaching duties during this period. There is the possibility of extending the appointment through the spring semester of 2024 that will involve both research and teaching. The appointment will be in the department of mathematics and statistics but will involve collaboration with the research team that includes biologists, applied linguists, and a
bio-mechanical engineer.

Minimum Qualifications

The candidate should have completed a Ph. D. in statistics or a related field at the time of appointment

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate would have experience combining and modeling data from multiple sources and the analysis of empirical time series. Experience in analyzing time series data from body worn sensors, the use of machine learning algorithms, and programming competency in Python would be a plus.
