• Conducts research experiments to: 1. understand the mechanism of autophagy in regulating cancer metabolism and immune response for KRAS-mutant lung tumor growth and metastasis using genetically engineered mouse models and the state-of-the-art metabolomic and lipidomic analysis; 2. examine the efficacy of autophagy inhibition-directed combinational therapies, including immunotherapy and targeting therapy, using mouse models; 3. identify novel metabolic vulnerabilities in KRAS-mutant lung cancer.
• Prepares written reports of the research experiments.
• Prepares grant proposals based on the research conducted.
• Prepares data for presentations and publications. Presents research results at laboratory and scientific meetings at the local and national level.
• Assists with the instructing and training of students,fellows, lower-level professionals and technicians in laboratory technicians, instrumentation, etc. to develop the skills necessary to perform the required functions.

Rutgers University requires all new employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the employee a medical or religious exemption. • Ph.D. and/or M.D. in a relevant science finishing their training (following their residency and/or fellowship) who wish to prepare for careers in academic medicine.

• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

• Background in cancer biology research.
