This job reports to the Dean of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies with 40,000. (Annual Salary Reflects a 10-Month Recurring Teaching Assignment)

This position will be located at the Barren County Area Technology Center, Glasgow, KY

Duties:

Reports directly to the Dean of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies and is responsible for the following:

  • Provides instruction to students in both theory and practice of Diesel Technology. Plans and carries out instruction, instructional activities, and prepares learning materials for special studies. Prepares lesson plans, instructional activities, and maintains records and reports on student learning.
  • Participate in professional development activities to improve teaching skills and expertise, student advising, follow-up services to assist in student placement, and recruitment of new students for program area. Serves on college committees as required, keeps regular posted office hours, and undertakes other assignments as directed by supervisor.
  • Position requires teaching 15-18 credit hours each semester. May be required to teach evening hours, or at other campus locations as the need arises.
Qualifications:

Associate Degree in related field, with 4 years related work experience or BS in related technical field and 2 years work experience. Current ASE certification(s) for medium truck and preferred CDL licensure. Candidate must be able to work independently and also as a member of a team as well as demonstrate strong communication, verbal and written, and organizational skills.
