Institutional Research Director

Western Nebraska Community College is currently accepting applications for the position of Institutional Research Director.

Responsibilities:
The Institutional Research Director collects, develops, analyzes, and communicates institutional data and other information to constituents both external and internal to the college, to support and enhance informed decision-making, problem-solving, strategic planning, policy development, and institutional self-assessment, curricular and co-curricular assessments. Under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Administrative Services, this position performs applied research, and designs, executes, and evaluates analytic and statistical studies, reports, and/or institutional self-assessments. Designs and manages information systems and databases to support institutional research activities. Identifies and displays relevant data to ensure the use of data to make informed decisions.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) from an accredited higher education institution in higher education, social research, data science, or a related field. OR an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job listed above. Master's degree in a higher education research field is preferred.

Minimum of five (5) years' work experience with a combination of duties that include collecting and analyzing data and managing high-level projects in a higher education setting. Experience in utilizing computer applications and database software in query building, data extraction and analysis. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel's pivot tables, graphs, charts, and macros. Proficiency with ERP/student information system Ellucian/Colleague, basic coding languages (SQL, JAVA, or similar) and analytic software (SPSS, SAS, or similar) is desired. Working experience in institutional research or higher education research setting is a preferred. Possession of, or the ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record that does not exclude the driver from coverage under WNCC's vehicle insurance.


Salary: Commensurate.

Start Date: Negotiable.
