YesJob Summary
Conduct classroom presentations to Middle and High School students to introduce them to variety of health care career opportunities through exploration and experiential activities that may include lecture, discussion, and organ dissections (i.e., heart, lung, chicken wing and eyeball). Work with Program Manager to deliver other health careers program activities.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1. Work with Program Manager – Healthcare Pathway Programs and other pipeline specialists on programs and activities aimed at recruiting and preparing targeted students into health professions training programs.
2. Conduct classroom presentations on health careers to secondary education students.
3. Provide support and information to teachers, counselors, and administrators on matters involving health professions education and workforce needs.
4. Assist Program Manager – Healthcare Pathway Programs with planning and conducting health careers program activities.
5. Can demonstrate exceptional and engaging presentation skills.
6. Excellent human relations skills.
7. Ability to work in a changing environment.
8. Must have vehicle and be willing to travel to schools throughout the region.
9. Able to lift 30-35 lbs and transport 100lbs on dolly.
10. Articulate with detailed information.

Minimum Qualifications
1. High School Graduate.
2. Some college in science or health related courses.
3. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills including presentations and public relations.
4. Strong work ethic and a demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative
