The Juvenile Diabetes Cure Alliance (JDCA), a non-profit advocacy organization that works to accelerate a cure for Type 1 Diabetes, seeks a part-time Communications Associate. The position is a great fit for someone who is passionate about Type 1 Diabetes and interested in leveraging their creative and analytical skills in a non-profit environment. Working with the Communications Manager, the part-time Communications Associate will support JDCA advocacy initiatives and fundraising programs.

Position Specs:

• Fully remote: the candidate can be based anywhere in the US
• Part-time/hourly (16 hours per week) between 9am to 5pm ET
• Required daily virtual team call at 9am on scheduled work days
• Compensation is commensurate with experience

Responsibilities and Duties

• Support JDCA advertising with creative development and drafting copy.
• Utilize social media platforms to institute advertising campaigns and goals.
• Monitor advertising performance, and anticipate trends.
• Analyze donation, fundraising, and advertising performance reports and derive key takeaways from the data.
• Conduct additional background research for general fundraising and advertising initiatives, particularly the Fall charitable giving season.

Qualifications:

• Deep passion and personal connection to T1D
• Analytical thinker who can identify key insights from different data sources
• Skilled at PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
• Experience with vast social media outlets
• Familiar with fundraising campaigns
• Adaptive learner, willing to take on challenges
• Ability to work in small groups
• Professional demeanor, and self-starter
