Description:

The Student Affairs Evening/Weekend Coordinator is a part-time (27 hours or less per week) 10 to 12-month position depending on budget and need. This position reports to the Interim Dean of Enrollment, Engagement & Completion and provides direct service to all departments in Student Affairs. This position will also play a role in Conduct and Title IX in the evening in partnership with the Dean. The work schedule for this position is Monday – Friday 4pm – 8pm and Saturdays 8:00 AM-12:00 PM. The position has the following responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Coordinates and administers student support to enrolled and prospective students, such as but not limited to admissions application, FASFA application, course registration, graduation processing, petitioning, withdrawals, assistance with StromTrac/Moodle concerns, information sessions, and evening student orientations.
  • Serves as the primary backup to various offices within Student Affairs
  • Provides coverage for our Storm Help Desk in person and virtually
  • Reviews Student Affairs departmental webpages for accuracies and updates
  • Directs students to appropriate advisor or departments by scheduling appointments and/or beginning the process for the student.
  • Provides support to faculty in the evening.
  • Serve as the person in charge of Campus Emergency Procedures during evening hours of operation.
  • Respond to emergencies and the needs of students, faculty/staff and visitors in the evening.
  • Assist Dean in developing and implementing annual revisions to Student Conduct Code and Student Conduct Standards. Research potential changes, compile best practices and trends, and summarize national, system-wide, and other related policy issues/changes.
  • Assist Dean in reviewing incident reports, uploading reports and other documents into Advocate Database, and performing sanction follow-up.
  • Assist with various student conduct-related assessments, statistical reports, and research projects.
  • Assist with initial intake and front desk reception, including receiving and directing walk-in traffic, answering phones, and answering questions from students, staff, faculty and other members of the Davidson-Davie community about the student conduct process.

Other projects and duties as assigned.

  • Participate in communication, education, and marketing efforts on campus regarding Title IX by assisting in the development of the Title IX/Intimate Partner and Dating Violence training module for the campus community (including offsite campuses).
  • Develop and produce statistical analysis and reports on an ongoing basis by assisting the office in the collection and analysis of sate related to Title IX.
  • Collaborate with the Administrative Assistant to enhance the unit web site by maintaining and updating web pages with relevant content on a regular basis.
  • Attend College meetings as feasible.
  • Serves on College committees as appropriate. Performs other tasks as assigned that support the mission and initiatives of the Student Affairs and the College.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with one year of experience from an accredited university
  • Two or more years working in a department within student affairs/services
  • Two years of customer service experience

  • Experience working with faculty
  • Familiarity with the community college
  • Experience working higher-education
  • Experience with social media, websites, and marketing
  • Experience with Conduct and Title IX
  • Supervision experience
