Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time, 20 hour per week, Monday - Friday work week Information Technology Assistant position.

This position will provide support to the Director of Information Technology.

  • The Information Technology Assistant will Set up and remove temporary equipment when needed for meetings, presentations and trainings.
  • Configure and install new equipment, such as desktops, laptops, monitors, network printers, etc. according to prescribed checklists and procedures.
  • Provide general equipment maintenance and assist in maintaining inventory of workstations, software and peripherals.
  • Assist in completing help desk tickets as assigned. Assist users in understanding available help desk services.
  • Perform associated administrative/documentation tasks as assigned; refer more complex problems to Help Desk Technician and Lead IT Technician.
  • Assist in end user training in areas of PC, network, internet and email usage.
  • Serve as backup to other IT team members when needed. Receive and document new/used equipment and supplies.
  • Assist IT staff with creating/terminating user accounts and access according to prescribed checklists and procedures.
  • Maintain discretion and client confidentiality at all times.

Education and Experience:

  • Experience with A+ Certification and Network+ Certification preferred.
  • High School diploma required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Have a strong attention to detail and be able to respond appropriately to changing priorities in a fast paced environment.
