Berkshire Community College (BCC) has the distinction of being the first community college established in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Nestled in the scenic Berkshire Hills, our nearly 2,000 students have access to a wide range of career and transfer programs on our newly renovated campus. Job Description:
BCC is looking for a candidate who enjoys working with a diverse group of students to foster confidence in their ability to communicate ideas in public and in their interpersonal relationships. The ideal candidate employs evidence-based teaching techniques and practices specifically in their approach to teaching critical and creative thinking. The ideal candidate is a collaborative colleague who shows interest and enthusiasm for the importance of communication skills in understanding the world.

Communication courses are a central part of the General Education core at BCC and thus Communication faculty members teach students in a variety of academic programs. We are seeking a faculty member who can teach a variety of communication courses such as, interpersonal communication, oral communication, spoken word, and communication and media courses. We are looking for a faculty member with experience teaching students to find and employ factual evidence and deliver compelling presentations. In addition to typically teaching 15 credit hours each semester, faculty participate in college service and advise students.


Requirements:
Minimum MFA, master's degree in communications, or master's degree in related subject area is required. College teaching experience is required with community college experience preferred. A strong commitment to student-centered education with experience incorporating multiple instructional strategies and teaching in different modalities (online and on-ground).

Salary: $48,811 - $57,126; Full-time; Benefited; per MCCC Contract
