Job Description:

GENERAL FUNCTIONS

The Student Success Assistant for the Equal Opportunity Program (EOP) participates in all programming efforts that support student success and graduation, including academic, career, financial, personal, social, and transfer services for students served by Opportunity Programs. The Student Success Assistant for Opportunity Programs works closely with various areas of the College, such as Admissions, Financial Aid, Records, Student Accounts, Tutoring and Academic Support, and other Student and Enrollment Services offices to promote the successful recruitment, enrollment, retention, and graduation of students served by Opportunity Programs.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as an advocate for students served by Opportunity Programs;

Coordinate, promote, facilitate, and evaluate intentional programming efforts (such as the EOP summer program, academic support workshops/tutoring, career development workshops, transfer workshops, etc.) for students to foster an inclusive and academically supportive program;

Accurately track student participation in programming efforts;

Responsible for the coordination, promotion, facilitation, and evaluation of the EOP summer program experience;

Maintain student records and assist with the preparation of reports relative to the students served by Opportunity Programs;

Actively participate in regular assessment of the programs, which includes entering updates into the college assessment software and participating in program review;

Other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean of Students, Director of the Educational Opportunity Program.


Job Requirements:


QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred.

Experience

Minimum one year of work experience required. Experience in peer or youth relations highly desired. Experience in higher education preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Good administrative and communication skills. Must be able to establish effective partnerships across the College and with community partners.

Additional Information:


This is a Part Time position with annual obligation including summers. Must be able to work days, evenings, and occasional weekends and maintain a flexible work schedule to accommodate programming demands.
