LOCATION Orange, CA (Hybrid- combination of on site and remote)

Who is Thrive Together OC?

Thrive Together OC is fiscally sponsored by Charitable Ventures. In partnership with families, clients and
other community stakeholders, Thrive Together OC (TTOC) will establish a state-of-the-art, inclusive,
county-wide mental health center that offers screening, outreach, consultation, training, and assessment
toward the prevention of, and care for, concerns related to early psychosis spectrum disorders for youth
and young adults of Orange County.

Job Summary

The Project Director is responsible for providing the leadership, management, and vision necessary to
ensure that TTOC fulfills its programmatic mission in the community. The Project Director will oversee all
programmatic components of the organization and is responsible to ensure contractual obligations are
adhered to. The Project Director is the external face of TTOC and represents the organization to all
community stakeholders.

The primary role of the Project Director will be to oversee all program, development, and
communication activity. The Project Director is responsible to develop and maintain the values and
culture of the organization including providing direct supervision and development to program staff.

What are the desired qualifications?

Education:
Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology or Social Work required. Areas of study may include clinical
research or social sciences. Business management experience preferred.
Licensure:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (CA LCSW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (CA LPCC)
Experience:

  • 5+ years of management and program experience building new clinical or mental health programs is

required

  • 2+ years work experience with community members in a mental health setting is required.
  • Experience with theoretical and practical knowledge in identification of and treatment of individuals

at clinical risk for psychosis or individuals in the first episode of psychosis is required

  • Demonstrated competence in service coordination and networking with other mental health care

providers and government agencies needed

  • Knowledge and experience in administration of a team effort, including team building; familiarity

with referral sources; and the ability to supervise and manage both professional and
paraprofessional staff needed.
Core Competencies:
Experience in clinical psychological assessment, clinical supervision, management of staff and trainees,
clinical consultation, provision of clinical feedback. This position requires excellent organizational skills;
strong managerial and leadership skills; an understanding of the nonprofit sector; strong interpersonal
and leadership skills.

Desired Characteristics:
This position requires the desire to work effectively with a multidisciplinary health care team and
engage community providers and other external stakeholders. This position requires an individual who
has a passion for this specialized level of care for individuals on the psychosis spectrum and their
families. The candidate should be reliable, dependable, responsive and able to work collaboratively and
independently, maintain professionalism and appropriate boundaries and practice regular follow up and
follow through in a timely manner.

Compensation Commensurate with experience, education, and market ($125,000 to $145,000 annual
salary)
