In 1957, the County of Westchester bought the 360-acre John Hartford estate in Valhalla and designated 218 acres for the community college. Job Description:

The Mathematics Department seeks Adjunct Faculty members.  Teaching assignments will include instruction of developmental and/or college-level mathematics courses, such as Pre-algebra, Beginning Algebra, Foundations of Mathematical Reasoning, College Algebra-Trigonometry, and College Quantitative Reasoning.


Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a Master's degree in Mathematics or a related discipline and one year of practical experience are required.  The successful candidate must posses a commitment to excellent teaching and to the goals of a community college.  S/he must also possess a strong desire to interact with a culturally diverse student body.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience teaching developmental level mathematics courses is strongly preferred. Familiarity with the use of technology in instruction is also strongly preferred.


Additional Information:

SALARY & BENEFITS: $82.57 per hour. No benefits.
