Job Specifications: (Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required)

The UCP Instructional Tech Support Coach supports the UCP OSEP Project Raise (Robotic) program and education staff to ensure success of use of instructional technology.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to Project Raise Research grant including:
    • Ensuring the following pre-session items are complete:
      • Robots & iPads are fully charged
      • Robot software updates run
      • Assist with coordinating schedule with teachers
    • -Beginning of week - Confirm/Remind teachers & student of sessions scheduled
      • Make sure all study materials are on hand
    • Conducts session set-up the morning of sessions and runs a technology check to make sure everything is connected and working properly.
    • Breakdown of equipment at the end of daily sessions and stores in secure location (Laptop, robots, iPad, chargers, power strips, webcam, tripod, etc).
    • After each session, uploads recording to OneDrive under participant folder.
    • Post-processing of all recordings for transcription and edits for accuracy - then saves to OneDrive transcription folder for participant.
  • Set up/inventory student and staff devices including logging/tracking any needed repair issues on Basecamp and/or AppleCare.
  • Provide training and support to education staff on use of technology and instructional platforms.
  • Provide tech specials such as keyboarding or robotics to classrooms on a rotating basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Training: (or equivalent)

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (minimum of Associate Degree/Junior Year of College)
  • Experience with robotics and data collection
  • Experience working with students with disabilities (preferably students with autism).
  • Excellent technological skills utilizing educational apps, software and hardware (Ipads, Chromebooks)
  • Prefer experience working on a research project.
  • Organized and attention to details.
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills/Out of the box thinker
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others/team player
