Job Description
Anoka-Ramsey Community College is seeking a temporary part-time computer science faculty member to teach a full load of courses for Spring 2023. The primary responsibilities of the position include teaching a variety of computer science course offerings, participation in both division and campus-wide committees, and engagement in content- and pedagogy-related professional development. The successful candidate will complement the college’s strong commitment to collaboration and innovative teaching practices, including student-centered pedagogy/andragogy, highly-interactive online courses, undergraduate research, and service learning. Candidates could expect assignment to evening and/or online course sections.
This position will teach courses associated with the Coon Rapids location.

Required Qualifications
Education Requirement:
  • Master’s degree with a major in computer science or
  • Master’s degree in any discipline/field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in computer science

Preferred Qualifications
Preference is given to those who:
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to meeting the academic needs of non-traditional students, non-native speakers of English, students with disabilities, and first-generation college students, among many others
  • Engage in and contribute to a vibrant multiracial and multicultural environment
  • Have experience or a strong interest in utilizing inclusive, student-centered strategies to eliminate the equity gap
  • Contribute to and value a collaborative work environment

Other Requirements
In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (MnSCU) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to MnSCU’s vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
