The College of Sciences (COS) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) is hiring a postdoctoral research scholar in the Psychology Department. The position is a 2-year appointment, with subsequent renewals depending on funding availability. Preferred start will be in late Fall 2022 but is negotiable.
The postdoctoral research scholar will lead behavioral experiments that examine the neurocognitive mechanisms of trust-related decision making in aging as part of our NIH-funded research program. We also welcome applicants with interest and expertise in human neuroimaging and computational modeling.
The AD&D Lab conducts research on neural mechanisms of decision making across the adult lifespan using behavioral tasks, self-report measures, biomarker sampling, computational modeling, and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Current funded research projects focus on how people make decisions involving trust, risk factors for deception in aging and preclinical dementia, and the role of learning in determining trust-based decisions. The selected candidate will take a central role in behavioral data collection and analysis at UCF (Orlando, FL). The postdoctoral scholar will also have the opportunity to work with previously collected behavioral and fMRI data and contribute to fMRI data collection and analysis that will be conducted at the University of Florida (UF; Gainesville, FL) as part of this project
