Job Description: Innovative preventive services program provides home-based therapeutic case management and advocacy services to keep children safe and keep families together. This is a position which requires strong engagement skills to ensure family participation in our Clinical Diagnostic Team as well as strong clinical supervision of our supportive staff, training staff on ongoing assessment of children’s safety, addressing families’ needs, and formulation of action plan/ goals for families as well as internal quality assurance measures and ensuring ACS program standards are consistently met.
Salary: 75,000.00K
Hybrid position. You need to be commutable to the Bronx but you would only be going into the office once a week.
Job duties and responsibilities:
  • The Assistant Director's primary role will be to support the expansion and supervision needs for the Family Treatment and Rehabilitation Model.
  • Supervise at least the CASAC and 2 FTC Coordinators providing weekly supervision around clinical and case management services to staff regarding using a strengths-based, family-focused perspective, document monthly supervision notes which assess any safety/risk to the children and provide staff with a framework for next steps, including field supervision on an ongoing basis/as needed, per the needs of the family and the program which may include home visits.
  • Oversee the weekly Clinical Diagnostic Teams meetings, providing support in the determination of case practice and family readiness to move towards case closure or to suggest appropriate clinical interventions.
  • Prepare and complete administrative functions including timely documentation of conferences, action plans, and all other reports related to Clinical Diagnostic Teams.
  • Provide case conferencing and consultation to re-examine and ensure appropriateness of decisions/ recommendations and action plan.
  • Assist Director will provide direct support the FTC Coordinator/Intakes Coordinator for the program on how to assess and process referrals to the Family Treatment and Rehabilitation Programs from multiple referral sources, including but not limited to ACS, schools, shelters, and clinics.
  • Comply with NYC Children’s Services Standards and Indicators for Purchased Preventive Services and duties outlined in Program Manual.
  • Attend weekly supervisory sessions with the Director, monthly staff and supervisory meetings, and other job-related meetings/ trainings.
  • Perform intake and crisis response services and work flexible hours, as required, and may be asked cover cases, in times of crisis/ staff shortages.
  • Outreach and make presentations about the programs to schools, early intervention programs, clinics and other community-based service providers.
  • Attend a minimum of 42 hours of required and job related in-service training sessions annually.
  • Work with socially, economically, culturally and ethnically diverse groups in a mutually respectful manner using a strengths-based approach.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
LCSW/LMHC required. A clinical license is a requirement for this position. 2 years post-Master’s preferred. Previous supervisory experience and documented child welfare experience preferred. Bilingual and bicultural candidates are encouraged to apply. Prior ACS FTC Training and/ or SIFI certification a plus. Experience in group facilitation is helpful. .
