Full Job Description

This position is funded through a grant from the NSF STC STEPS Center, specifically working on the Theme 1 projects Bio-inspired phosphorus removal and recovery and Chemical and biological transformations of non-reactive phosphorus.

Duties and Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities of this position will include: Designing and performing phosphorus transformation, removal, and recovery experiments; Working collaboratively with teams of researchers, including students, other postdoctoral scholars, and faculty; Writing and presenting progress updates and disseminating project results.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Earned doctorate (or its foreign equivalent) or appropriate terminal degree. Applicants whose degree will be conferred during the Summer or Fall 2022 term are eligible to apply. Applicants must have experience with phosphorus speciation measurements; protein expression, extraction, and immobilization; batch and column-scale adsorption tests
