Position Qualification
Position Summary
Postdoctoral position to investigate the mechanisms of DNA replication and mutagenesis, with a particular focus on the origin of mutations that cause human diseases. A variety of experimental systems, including yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, cultured human cells, in vitro biochemistry, mouse models, and human tissues to understand the link between DNA structure, the function of DNA polymerases and genomic instability.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology or a related discipline.
Supplemental Qualifications
Substantial experience in one of the following areas:
(1) Mammalian cell genetics/genome editing
(2) Yeast molecular genetics
(3) Biochemistry of DNA replication proteins
(4) Mouse genetics
(5) Genomics/biofinormatics
