Job Description

The Department of Finance in the Opus College of Business, University of Saint Thomas, Minnesota, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Finance.

We seek an outstanding candidate with the potential for excellent teaching and high-quality research in the area of corporate finance, and the commitment to serve the Department, College, and University. This is a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning Fall 2023. The Opus College of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB International) and subscribes to several databases and WRDS.

Candidates with research and teaching expertise in corporate finance are welcome to apply. The department offers courses in the undergraduate and several MBA and specialized master’s programs in business, providing multiple opportunities for teaching.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.

St. Thomas is located in the vibrant Minneapolis-St Paul area, one of the nation’s top 25 metro areas. There is a visible corporate presence of 16 Fortune 500 headquarters plus a diversified list of other companies with offices in the metro area, providing a very strong and supportive business community that attracts bright and talented people. QUALIFICATIONS:

Ph.D. (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, or alternatively, ABD candidates with substantial completion of the Ph.D. before September 1st, 2023, will be considered. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and a demonstrated capacity to engage in scholarly research in corporate finance and must be willing to teach corporate finance subjects at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
