Job Description

Kilgore College is a two-year, comprehensive public community college located in East Texas. With approximately 5,000 students, Kilgore College is an institution characterized by excellence in teaching and quality learning opportunities. The Business, Entrepreneurship, and Information Technology Division is currently seeking multiple adjunct instructors to become part of our teaching faculty.
Responsibilities:
Adjunct instructors are part-time faculty, teaching one or more courses during daytime or evening hours on the Kilgore or Longview campus. Courses are taught face-to-face, online, or in a hybrid format (partially face-to-face and partially online) and require the use of instructional technology in and out of the classroom. Adjunct faculty members teach and supervise all learning experiences and evaluate student performance in the classroom. Course needs vary each semester, and include the following: • Accounting • Business (including marketing, management, human resources, finance) • Business Computer Information Systems • Computer Networking • Cybersecurity • Economics • Entrepreneurship • Logistics • Software/Web/Game Development
Minimum Qualifications:
Faculty teaching courses that will transfer to university baccalaureate programs must have a Master’s degree or higher with at least 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline. Faculty teaching courses that are part of a two-year workforce preparation program must have a bachelor’s degree in the teaching discipline, or associate’s degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline. Preference will be given to applicants with college teaching experience.
Salary Range & Fringe Benefits:
Salary is dependent upon the level of education. For a 3-credit hour course, an instructor with a Bachelor’s degree receives $1,700 and an instructor with a Master’s degree receives $1,800.
