Join the Portland Community College (PCC) team! The Contract & Grant Accounting Department is seeking a talented grant Accountant III. The grant Accountant III serves at the Downtown Center, conveniently located next to lightrail, downtown waterfront, and many restaurant and retail options. Employees have the option of a hybrid work arrangement where a portion of their regular workweek is spent remote/telecommuting and the other portion is spent at the Downtown Center or assigned campus location. Additional approval is required for alternate work accommodations.
Under the direction of the Contract & Grant Accounting Manager, the grant Accountant III is well versed in applying federal, state and local laws, regulations, and policies to manage various grants and contracts that support the College's mission of equitable student success. The grant Accountant III portfolio will have a specific emphasis on PCC Foundation grants that support the College, as well as the College’s Gateway to College and Yes to College initiatives, and lastly the College’s internal service funds supporting the Community Education and Continuing Education programs.
The grant Accountant III will collaborate with departmental managers by providing technical information regarding accounting principles and the College's accounting, workflow, and contract management software. In this position, the grant Accountant III will be expected to take a leadership role in most tasks, offering process improvement solutions to supervisors and/or management, and suggesting ways to improve procedures. Additionally, the grant Accountant III takes a lead role in coordinating district wide initiatives such as: risk based annual monitoring and compliance plan, federal grant testing initiatives related to Single Audit, and federal effort certification.

|Starting Salary Expectations||$56,939 to $60,992 (Step 3); based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.|
|Position Grade Salary Range||$56939 to $98729 Annual Salary|
